DPS restarts Mississippi’s Most Wanted List
Mississippi’s Most Wanted List is back. Department of Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell Wednesday announced the relaunch of the list, compiled by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation in collaboration with law enforcement agencies across the state. This list features fugitives with felony charges who pose a significant threat to public safety.
“We remain committed to enhancing public safety across our great state,” said Tindell. “The individuals on this list pose a serious threat to our communities. By increasing public awareness through the Mississippi’s Most Wanted list, we hope to assist law enforcement in locating and apprehending these fugitives.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of those on Mississippi’s Most Wanted should contact local Crime Stoppers or call 1-888-8CRIMES (1-888-827-4637). Tips can be submitted anonymously, and you may be eligible for a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You can also scan the included QR code to submit a tip online.
The list is available at www.dps.ms.gov/ms-most-wanted and on the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s social media platforms.
The eight men listed on the initial Most Wanted List are primarily in Madison and Rankin counties, although Lemarcus Vernard Waldrop of Tupelo was placed. Waldrop is being sought on first degree murder charges in the death of a Lee County resident in May 2017. He has remained at large since then.
