Aug. 12, 2024 – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Ty Pinkins, has earned the endorsements of The Alpha Political Action Committee (The Alpha Pac) and The Omega Network for Action (ONFA). Both organizations are dedicated to promoting the leadership of people of color in Congress and advocating for public policy issues. They aim to enhance economic empowerment through education, job training, housing, community development, workforce development, entrepreneurship, health, and overall quality of life for communities.

Pinkins is the Democratic candidate campaigning in the general election race against Republican incumbent U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker.

A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Pinkins received the support of both organizations due to his commitment to addressing issues and public policy impacting African American communities and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Pinkins is recognized for his efforts in supporting Black farm workers in the Mississippi Delta, as he has initiated two discrimination lawsuits against Mississippi for unjust practices. Presently, Pinkins is among the plaintiffs in a lawsuit aimed at urging Mississippi to revise its three Supreme Court districts to enhance the opportunities for Black candidates to win elections.

“Being proactive and contributing to solutions is a daily goal I aim to achieve. Conversely, my opponent has repeatedly failed to keep promises while in office. It’s crucial to be actively involved in the lives of Mississippi residents and create a positive impact.” said Pinkins.

“I am excited about receiving endorsements from these two organizations, as their goals align with our campaign’s mission. It’s essential to have representatives who not only speak about change but also actively implement it in Congress and our communities. I’m proud that our efforts have received such great endorsements” Pinkins continued.

Since the establishment of the Alpha PAC in 2019, The Alpha PAC members have monitored and advanced public policy issues, sponsored candidate fundraising events and publicly endorsed candidates that represent their public policy priorities. Their members are committed to supporting the increase of African Americans and other persons of color in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate as well as supporting federal officials who champion public policy issues and an inclusive electoral process.

Omega Network For Action, Inc. was created to help African Americans and others in underserved communities achieve their highest true social parity, economic self-reliance, power, and civil rights. ONFA is designed to promote economic empowerment through education & job training, housing & community development, workforce development, entrepreneurship, health, and quality of life for the stated underserved communities.
