Yazoo County thanks Thompson for $100,000 law enforcement incentive

Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy thanked Congressman Thompson on behalf of the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office for a $100,000 Law Enforcement Support incentive, McCoy said in a Facebook post.

McCoy said the funding will directly enhance the office’s operational capacity and help meet the growing demands placed on deputies and staff. “Your continued commitment to public safety and support for local law enforcement agencies make a meaningful difference,” he wrote.

In the post, McCoy expressed gratitude for the congressman’s leadership and advocacy “on behalf of Mississippi’s law enforcement community,” saying the support reinforces the office’s mission to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents.

The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office is the primary local law enforcement agency serving Yazoo County, Mississippi. Local officials often seek state or federal incentive programs to strengthen staffing, equipment and response capabilities.

McCoy closed the message by thanking the congressman and saying the office looks forward to continuing its partnership with his office. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
