Yazoo County sheriff thanks Congressman Thompson for $100,000 support

The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office thanked Congressman Thompson for a $100,000 Law Enforcement Support incentive that the agency said will bolster its ability to serve and protect residents of Yazoo County, Mississippi.

Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy said in a Facebook post that the funding will “directly enhance our operational capacity and assist us in meeting the growing demands placed on our deputies and staff.” He expressed appreciation for Thompson’s “continued commitment to public safety and support for local law enforcement agencies.”

McCoy said the grant reinforces the office’s mission and strengthens efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for county residents. He thanked Thompson for his leadership and advocacy on behalf of Mississippi’s law enforcement community and said the agency looks forward to continuing its partnership with the congressman’s office.
