Wills program offers estate planning to Mississippi first responders
Kristy R. Hogan, president of Wills for Magnolia State First Responders, said the group will provide estate planning resources to law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel at an April 18, 2026, event in Brandon.
Hogan spoke by phone with Rebecca Turner on Super Talk Mississippi to describe the program and the upcoming gathering at the Rankin County Safe Room & Conference Center hosted in partnership by First Responders of MS and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department.
Organizers say the partnership aims to give first responders access to wills and other estate planning tools, helping ensure legal and financial protections for families. Estate planning is commonly recommended for people in high-risk occupations to clarify beneficiaries, guardianship and other end-of-life decisions.
The information was announced during the radio interview and in a social media posting by the organization. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
