Jackson Police Chief RaShall Brackney was honored with a “Welcome Chief of Police Breakfast” at the State Capitol last Saturday, the Jackson Police Department said in a Facebook post.
The event was coordinated by State Rep. Stephanie Foster and was attended by over 80 homeowner association presidents, according to the department. The Hinds County delegation served attendees at the gathering, the post said.
Brackney leads the Jackson Police Department, which is responsible for law enforcement in Mississippi’s capital city. Events that bring together community leaders and elected officials are often intended to build relationships, foster communication and signal local support for public safety leadership.
In its post, the department offered a “HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated and for the warm reception and support,” expressing gratitude on behalf of Chief Brackney. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
