Tylertown police seek public help identifying woman in hit-and-run

TYLERTOWN, Mississippi — The Tylertown Police Department is asking the public to help identify a woman in connection with a hit-and-run investigation, police said.

Officials said the department is actively investigating the incident and released a public notice that includes a photograph of the woman. Anyone who recognizes her or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the Tylertown Police Department at 601-876-4440. Police said tipsters may also send the department a private message with the person’s name and may remain anonymous.

Tylertown is the county seat of Walthall County. Local police departments routinely rely on community tips to identify suspects and gather evidence in traffic-crash investigations. Hit-and-run investigations are significant because finding those involved can help determine responsibility, address injuries or property damage and improve public safety.
