Two charged after robbery, assault at Starkville Sprint Mart
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Two people were arrested Monday after a reported robbery and assault at a convenience store on Highway 182 East, the Starkville Police Department said.
Officers responded at 9:55 a.m. to Sprint Mart at 12258 Highway 182 East for a report of an assault and robbery, the department said. When officers arrived, they spoke with those involved and the victim reported being physically assaulted and was evaluated at the scene.
After an investigation, authorities charged Terrell Prater, 25, of Starkville, with robbery. Diona McNeal, 41, of Houston, was charged as an accessory to robbery, the department said. No weapons were involved, the department added.
Both suspects were taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
