VICKSBURG, Mississippi — Three people were arrested in connection with a shooting March 21 in the Hayes Street area, police said.
Officers responded to a reported shooting and found that three people involved had already been taken by personal vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident, police said.
Following an investigation, police arrested Catriama Pugh, 32, and charged her with accessory after the fact. Quanneisheia Pugh, 34, was charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Omarion Nelson, 20, was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling, police said.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation. Hayes Street is a residential area of Vicksburg, a city on the Mississippi River. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
