Starkville closes Fellowship Street for Museum Miles 5K Saturday
Starkville Police Department says Fellowship Street will be closed to vehicular traffic Saturday morning, Feb. 21, for the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum’s annual Museum Miles 5K & Fun Run.
The department posted on Facebook that the closure will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and that the street is marked in red. Motorists should expect intermittent delays along the route as officers assist runners through intersections.
The Museum Miles 5K & Fun Run is an annual community event organized by the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum. Such runs typically aim to promote local history, encourage community participation and support museum programs and operations.
Organizers have modified this year’s course because of ongoing construction along parts of the original route, the police post said. Race and route details are available on the event registration page. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
