Southaven Police Department said on its Facebook page Saturday that officers enjoyed participating in the Northwest Outreach and Wellness Foundation’s Touch-a-Truck event and appreciated the opportunity to connect with community members.
Touch-a-Truck events typically give children and families a chance to see emergency and service vehicles up close and to speak informally with responders and drivers. Community organizations such as the Northwest Outreach and Wellness Foundation often host these gatherings to promote public engagement and family-friendly education.
