Scott County Sheriff’s Office wishes community Happy Easter
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office on social media wished residents a Happy Easter and urged them to enjoy the holiday safely, the office said in a Facebook post.
The message said, “May each of you be safe, eat lots of food, and the kiddos find all the eggs,” and added a religious reflection: “Just remember He’s Risen…. The cross couldn’t hold Him… Death couldn’t hold Him… The Tomb couldn’t hold Him…” The post was signed “Mike Lee — sheriff; Brad Ellis — chief deputy; Joshua Thames — public information officer,” the office said.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for the county and routinely uses social media to share public safety reminders and community messages. Holiday posts from law enforcement often aim to reinforce safe driving, alcohol safety and community goodwill, and to remind residents about services available during holiday periods.
We will provide more information as it becomes available.
