Ryan Howard arrested on 17 felony warrants in alleged secret-recording case

Ryan Howard was arrested March 4, 2026, on 17 felony warrants tied to alleged unlawful photographing or filming of others where there is an expectation of privacy, authorities said.

Detectives with the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant Jan. 14, 2025, at Howard’s residence on Glenwood Street and recovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana, authorities said. After the warrant was executed, detectives said they obtained evidence related to the alleged secret recordings.

Investigators obtained a second search warrant immediately after discovering the evidence to try to recover a hidden camera, but authorities said the device had already been removed. Electronic devices seized during the investigation were submitted to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office for processing, authorities said.

Authorities identified four victims ranging in age from 16 to 18. The investigation involved assistance from the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, authorities said. State law generally prohibits photographing or filming another person without permission where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
