The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department said its administrative offices will be closed Friday, April 3, 2026, in observance of Good Friday, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
The department said its Patrol Division will continue to operate as scheduled through the holiday weekend. Residents should call 911 for emergencies and expect routine patrol and emergency response to remain in place during the closure, the post indicated.
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Rankin County, Mississippi, responsible for countywide patrol, investigations and other public safety functions. Administrative offices often handle records requests, licensing and other nonemergency services that may be affected by a holiday closure.
Officials encouraged residents with administrative needs to plan accordingly and to check the department’s social media channels for updates. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
