Pike County Sheriff’s Office completes raffle to aid deputy’s recovery

Pike County Sheriff’s Office said the raffle to support Deputy Dimitri Davis concluded at noon Friday, March 27, 2026, and named Davis Haygood as the winner.

The office posted on Facebook that it was grateful for the “overwhelming support” from Pike County residents as Deputy Davis recovers from a recent stroke. The raffle was held to help support Davis and his family during his recovery, the post said.

Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office organized the effort, and the office thanked everyone who purchased tickets or made donations, asking that the community continue to keep the deputy and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

Community fundraisers are a common way for local residents to assist public safety officers and their families facing medical and recovery expenses. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office serves as the county’s local law enforcement agency and used its social media channels to communicate the outcome of the raffle.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
