Oxford police welcome HOLOS training to boost officer wellness
OXFORD, Miss. — The Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post that it hosted HOLOS Training last week, a program rooted in neuroscience and performance psychology designed for first responders.
The department said HOLOS gave staff tools to build mental resilience, sharpen focus and protect long-term health so officers can continue serving the community at their best.
The department thanked the mayor and the Board of Aldermen of the city of Oxford for what it called an unwavering commitment to investing in the department not just as professionals, but as people. The post said that support means everything to officers and staff.
Law enforcement agencies across the country have increasingly emphasized officer wellness and resilience training in recent years as departments confront the psychological and physical demands of the job. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
