Oxford Police Department posted on its Facebook page that its Light Up the Night event will be held Friday, March 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Oxford Police Department, and will include free headlight cleaning for drivers.
The department said the service is intended to help make driving brighter and safer by improving nighttime visibility. Clear, well-maintained headlights can increase a motorist’s ability to see and be seen on the road, particularly during evening hours and in poor weather.
The event continues the department’s community outreach efforts to promote traffic safety and engage with residents. Organizers encourage drivers to stop by, say hello and take advantage of the complimentary service to help ensure their vehicles are better equipped for night driving.
