OUTransit begins running routes at 8 a.m.

Oxford-University Transit said in a Facebook post that OUTransit will begin running routes at 8 a.m. this morning.

The announcement came on the agency’s social media page and did not provide additional operational details. Oxford-University Transit, known as OUTransit, is the local public bus service that schedules regular routes to serve residents, commuters and the university community in its service area.

The resumption of service is likely to affect riders who rely on scheduled buses for work, classes and errands, offering an alternative to private vehicles and helping maintain local transit connections. Riders planning to use OUTransit are advised to verify route times, stops and any temporary adjustments through the agency’s official channels before traveling.

Details in the Facebook post were limited. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
