Mississippi public safety officials join Run the Rainbow in Jackson

Public Safety Planning Director Josh Bromen and Ms. Courtnie of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety participated in Run the Rainbow for Children’s in Jackson last week, the department said in a post on its official Facebook page.

In the post, the department said events like this “remind us that public service goes beyond the job and it’s about showing up for our communities, supporting families, and making a difference where it matters most.”

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety oversees a range of state law enforcement and public safety programs. Participation by department staff in community events underscores a broader effort by government agencies to engage with residents and support local initiatives outside routine enforcement and administrative duties.
