Mississippi Homeland Security showcases careers at Ole Miss fair
Candace Devereaux represented the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security today at the “Days of Intrigue Career Fair” at the University of Mississippi, engaging with students and sharing information about career opportunities in intelligence and public safety, the office said on its Facebook page.
The Mississippi Office of Homeland Security is the state agency responsible for coordinating efforts to prevent and respond to threats, working with local, state and federal partners to support public safety. Outreach at college career fairs helps the office connect with students who may pursue careers in emergency management, intelligence analysis, law enforcement and related fields.
Career fairs like the Days of Intrigue provide students opportunities to meet recruiters, learn about entry-level and internship positions, and understand training and qualification pathways for public safety work. Agencies use these events to build a pipeline of candidates as workforce needs evolve.
Details about specific positions discussed at the fair were not provided. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
