Mississippi Highway Patrol cadets begin early-morning physical training
Cadet Class 70 of the Mississippi Highway Patrol began early-morning physical training as it wrapped up week six of its program, the agency said in a Facebook reel posted Wednesday.
The short post on the agency’s official Facebook page said the cadets “got an early start” and were “putting in the work” before finishing week six. The caption highlighted the cadets’ dedication, discipline and drive as they continue daily training.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is the state law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing traffic laws and providing public safety on state highways. Like many law enforcement training programs, physical training is a core component designed to prepare recruits for the physical demands of policing and public safety work.
The social media post underscores the emphasis agencies place on fitness and discipline during basic training and offers the public a glimpse into the cadet experience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
