Megan gets driver’s license, begins driving
A recent Facebook post congratulated Megan on obtaining her driver’s license and said she is “on the road.” The post also urged drivers to “always buckle up and drive safe.”
For many young people, getting a driver’s license marks a milestone that brings greater independence and increased mobility. Licensing can open access to jobs, school and other activities, while also shifting responsibility for safe travel to the new driver.
Traffic safety advocates encourage new drivers to adopt safe habits from the start, including wearing seat belts, obeying speed limits, avoiding distractions and completing formal driver’s education when available. Those measures are widely recommended to reduce risks for inexperienced motorists.
Family, friends and community members often mark the occasion with congratulations and reminders about safety. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
