Lowndes County posts Warrant Wednesday wanted bulletin
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office posted its weekly “Warrant Wednesday” wanted persons bulletin on Facebook, highlighting individuals who had active warrants at the time of the posting and urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
The office warned that warrant status may change and that some warrants may no longer be active when viewed, and it reminded the public that all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the Facebook post said.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of those featured is asked to contact the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office. To remain anonymous, the post directed tipsters to Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151 or to submit a tip using the P3Tips app. Crime Stoppers programs and tip apps are commonly used by law enforcement agencies to gather leads while protecting informants’ identities.
Weekly wanted bulletins are a routine public-safety tool used by county sheriff’s offices to alert residents and solicit community assistance in locating people with outstanding warrants. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
