JPD investigates fatal hit-and-run on Chastain Drive
JPD said preliminary investigation shows a fatal crash this morning in the 4800 block of Chastain Drive involving a vehicle and a bicycle is being treated as a hit-and-run.
The department said in a social media post that its Accident Investigation Unit is handling the probe and is following up on information that a white Ford F-150 with tinted windows might be involved. JPD described the investigation as active and said updates will follow.
The initial post did not provide details about the victim’s identity, condition or the time of the collision.
