Jackson police seek public help in 2018 missing person case

The Jackson Police Department is asking the public for help locating a 32-year-old man who has been missing since 2018, the department said in a Facebook post. Bryan Mitchell was last seen at the King Edwards Hotel on Capital Street.

Anyone with information about Mitchell’s whereabouts is asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234 or 601-720-7588, or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477, the post said.

The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Mississippi’s capital and investigates missing-person reports, often relying on tips from residents to develop leads. Crime Stoppers is a community program that works with local law enforcement and provides a channel for people to submit information, frequently allowing anonymity.

Public assistance can be crucial in long-term missing-person cases, and officials urged anyone with relevant information to come forward. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
