Jackson holds free expungement clinic April 1
The City of Jackson and the Jackson Police Department said in a Facebook post that they will host a free expungement clinic on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Smith Robertson Community Center, 505 John Hart Street in Jackson, Mississippi.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants should bring a government-issued ID and any available court documents. Registration is required by scanning the QR code on the event flyer, officials said.
City and police officials said the clinic is intended to help eligible residents clear qualifying records that can limit employment, housing and other opportunities. “The expungement process gives eligible residents a real opportunity to move forward,” the post said, adding that the Jackson Police Department fully supports the initiative.
City officials said the event is being held in partnership with community and legal advocates and urged residents to share the notice so others can learn about the free resource. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
