Jackson County sheriff asks public to help locate man wanted in Gulf Park shooting

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said it is asking the public to help locate Christopher Paul Landry, who investigators say is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a Feb. 26, 2026, shooting in Gulf Park.

The department said a male victim was shot in the incident and is currently listed in stable condition. Investigators did not release additional details about the circumstances of the shooting or the victim’s identity in the post.

Anyone with information about Landry’s whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS, the department said. The post noted that to be eligible for a reward, all information must be submitted directly through Crime Stoppers.

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a serious felony charge in many jurisdictions. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
