Highway 82 eastbound has reopened and traffic is flowing normally, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on its Facebook page.
Motorists traveling through the area may resume regular routes, the office said, but drivers are encouraged to use caution and remain alert as traffic patterns return to normal.
The sheriff’s office thanked the public for its patience and cooperation during the closure and advised residents to follow its official media channels for additional updates.
Highway closures can disrupt daily commutes, commercial traffic and emergency response, so reopenings are important for restoring normal travel and local economic activity.
