Gulfport man arrested on aggravated domestic assault, child endangerment charges

Gulfport police arrested 34-year-old Orlando Arbyray Thomas on Jan. 18 and charged him with one count of aggravated domestic assault and four counts of child endangerment, the Gulfport Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Officers responded at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Jan. 18 to a report of a shooting, the department said. Investigators determined a victim had driven to Thomas’ residence with four juveniles inside the vehicle, parked and sounded the vehicle’s horn before Thomas exited the home armed with a firearm and fired multiple rounds in the direction of the vehicle, striking it.

Detectives recovered multiple spent shell casings and a firearm at the scene, the department said. Thomas was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $450,000 bond set by Judge Fountain.

The Gulfport Police Department said the investigation remains active. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
