Entergy Mississippi issues estimated restoration times for outages
Entergy Mississippi on its Facebook page issued estimated restoration times for customers affected by widespread outages after a day of assessing damage, the company said.
Entergy said it is working to restore power to about 52,000 customers it serves who currently lack service, and that about 141,000 customers were without electricity across the state. The company cautioned that the times it provided are estimates based on current information and are not definite.
Entergy Mississippi is the state’s major electric utility and a unit of Entergy Corp., supplying power to residential, commercial and industrial customers across Mississippi. Extended outages can affect homes, businesses and public services and often require crews to prioritize critical facilities such as hospitals and emergency services while repairing damaged lines and equipment.
Company officials said restoration will require multiple days for some areas as crews continue damage assessments and repairs. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
