Deputy Rick Haggard dies in vehicle-pedestrian collision at Shannon Elementary
Sheriff Jim H. Johnson said in a press release that Deputy Rick Haggard, a school resource officer, died today after a vehicle-pedestrian collision at Shannon Elementary School.
The release identified Haggard as an SRO and provided no additional details about the circumstances or timing of the incident. It asked the public to keep Haggard’s family and the sheriff’s department in their prayers during this tragedy.
