A traffic alert posted on Facebook says debris removal trucks will be working on South Lamar and North Lamar this morning from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 8:30 a.m., and that the operations will cause traffic delays.
The alert said upwards of 20 trucks could be on the road to help remove debris. Motorists were urged to avoid the area during the work window to reduce congestion and allow crews to operate safely.
Debris removal operations typically involve crews clearing roadways of fallen branches, construction material or other obstructions and often require heavy equipment that can slow traffic. Such activity can be particularly disruptive during the morning commute, increasing travel times on nearby routes.
