Crime Stoppers promotes Valentine’s special to prompt anonymous tips

Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers is urging the public to submit anonymous tips this month through a Valentine’s-themed promotion, the group said in a Facebook post.

The post invites nominations of former partners with outstanding warrants, unpaid tickets, missed court appearances or suspected criminal activity, including alleged possession of illegal substances, and outlines a month-long package of incentives for tipsters. The offer includes a pair of platinum bracelets, chauffeur-driven transportation, a minimum one-night stay in five-star accommodations, professional glamour shots that could appear online or in local newspapers and a Valentine’s dinner, the post said.

The organization told followers they may submit nominations anonymously by calling Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or by using the P3Tips app. The post also included the line “Our operators are standing by!”

Crime Stoppers programs are community-based initiatives designed to collect anonymous information from the public and often work with local law enforcement. The group did not provide additional details in the post. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
