Crews arrive to assist NEMEPA restoration efforts

Additional crews arrived this morning and are already in the field assisting with restoration efforts, NEMEPA said in a Facebook post. The utility said it is continuing to make progress and plans to share updates on specific areas in a video tonight.

NEMEPA is an electric cooperative that serves local customers and manages restoration when outages occur. Rapid deployment of additional crews can speed repairs and reduce the length of outages for affected homes and businesses, improving safety and restoring essential services.

The utility reminded customers that if they receive a restoration text but their power is not on, they should re-report the outage by calling 662-234-6331 or by using text, the NEMEPA app or the website at www.nemepa.org. Providing an updated report helps crews prioritize remaining outages and confirm service restoration.

NEMEPA thanked customers for their continued patience and understanding as crews work in the field. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
