Clinton police seek help identifying person in multiple thefts

CLINTON — The Clinton Police Department is asking the public to help identify a person who may have information related to several theft investigations across the city, the department said Tuesday.

Police say multiple thefts have been reported over the past several months and detectives have obtained photographs of an individual believed to have information relevant to the cases. The department said the images are not clear enough to confirm the persons identity.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest, the department said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online through the Crime Stoppers website, the department said.

Investigators said the theft probes remain ongoing and they hope community leads will help advance the cases. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
