Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers is urging Jackson residents to submit anonymous tips to help solve crimes and make the city safer, the organization said in a Facebook post.
The program said cash rewards of up to $2,500 may be paid if a tip leads to an arrest. It listed information residents can report: criminal activity in Jackson, the location of stolen property, wanted persons, and illegal drugs or drug activity.
The group said callers remain completely anonymous and do not have to give their name. When callers provide information, they receive a confidential code number to protect their identity.
To submit a tip, the post directs people to call 601-355-TIPS (8477) or to visit www.p3tips.com. Crime Stoppers programs typically allow citizens to provide information without revealing their identities and can assist law enforcement in solving cases.
The program said tips could help remove dangerous criminals from the streets and make Jackson safer for everyone. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
