Booneville police warn of traffic delays on South Second Street

Booneville Police Department warned motorists to use caution on South Second Street today as crews work to clear storm debris, saying traffic delays are likely.

The advisory, posted on the department’s official Facebook page, urged drivers to be patient and cooperative while cleanup crews operate in the area. The department said the work is intended to remove hazards and help keep the community safe.

Local law enforcement agencies commonly issue such notices after storms to reduce the risk of crashes and to help responders move safely through affected areas. Storm debris can obstruct lanes, slow traffic and create sudden hazards for commuters and emergency vehicles.

The department asked motorists to allow extra travel time and, if possible, seek alternate routes while crews complete the cleanup. The post thanked residents for their patience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
