Oxford police, Junior League partner on ‘In Her Shoes’ program to raise awareness on domestic violence

The Oxford Police Department’s Victims’ Services Unit partnered with the Junior League of Oxford to present “In Her Shoes,” an interactive program aimed at highlighting the challenges faced by domestic violence victims.

The program seeks to increase understanding, foster empathy, and emphasize the importance of community support for victims. Officials say awareness and prevention are key to addressing domestic violence.

The Junior League of Oxford donated Ring cameras to support victims. These safety devices will be provided directly to victims and included in personalized safety plans, officials said.

Oxford police praised the Junior League’s ongoing commitment to education, safety, and community assistance. They encourage groups interested in hosting “In Her Shoes” to contact the department’s Victims’ Services Unit for more information.
