Mississippi names 6-year-old Porter Antici Children’s Miracle Network champion

Porter Antici, 6, has been selected as the 2026 Children’s Miracle Network champion for Mississippi, the University of Mississippi Medical Center said in a Facebook post. He will represent children receiving care across the state and help raise awareness about pediatric health needs.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a nonprofit organization that raises funds and awareness for children’s hospitals and pediatric care. Champions are often chosen to spotlight patient experiences and to help communities understand the importance of specialized pediatric services.

The announcement highlights the role of Children’s of Mississippi in providing compassionate, specialized care for children, the post said. Hospital and nonprofit partnerships like this one often focus on patient stories to inform fundraising, outreach and public education efforts across a region.
