Medical center remembers AirCare 3 crew lost in crash

The medical center remembered the lives of Dustin Pope, Jakob Kindt and Cal Wesolowski on Wednesday, marking one year since the AirCare 3 crash on March 10, 2025, the center said in a Facebook post.

The post said each man answered the call to serve others, responding to emergencies across Mississippi with courage, professionalism and compassion. The medical center said their dedication to caring for patients in critical moments left a lasting impact on colleagues and the communities they served.

Air ambulance programs such as AirCare provide rapid transport and advanced medical care for patients whose conditions require immediate attention, particularly in rural states where hospitals may be far apart. Crews typically include pilots and medical personnel who work to stabilize and move patients to higher levels of care.

The remembrance highlights the risks that emergency responders accept while serving the public and the ripple effects such losses have on families, teammates and health systems. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
