Vicksburg man arrested in Southaven exploitation case
Reports are that a man was arrested in rural Warren County earlier in the week in connection with a warrant issued by police in Southaven.
The Vicksburg Daily News reported the suspect is being held on charges of child exploitation. The arrest of William Calvin Day, age 20 of Vicksburg, came Sunday, Jan. 21 at a home in the 7000 block of Oak Ridge Road northeast of Vicksburg.
Day was first brought to the Warren County Jail and then returned to Southaven by officers who came to pick him up.
Southaven police said Thursday the case was part of an ongoing investigation and couldn’t provide further information about it. Day is now being held in the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center in Hernando on charges of felony child exploitation. Bond is set at $150,000 and a Jan. 31 court appearance is set in the case.
