Hinds County police seek help in 2020 missing person case
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance in finding Jasmine Javonna Purvis, who has been missing since December 2020, authorities said.
Purvis was last seen at Sylvia’s restaurant in Jackson, leaving with an unidentified Black male in a possible Black SUV. She is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with medium brown skin and short hair. She would now be 33 years old.
Investigators continue to pursue leads, and the department urges anyone with information to contact Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers. A tip that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.
