Mississippi Man Charged in Child Exploitation Case
PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Mississippi man is facing serious charges after Paragould police say he recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with a child.
Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause to charge 26-year-old Barry Yarbrough, of Noxapater, Miss., with one count of computer exploitation of a child, a Class Y felony, and one count of fourth-degree sexual assault, a Class D felony.
Detective Lieutenant Robert Sexton said he was alerted to an “ongoing sexual assault investigation in another jurisdiction.” The affidavit states the alleged incidents occurred in Paragould, where Yarbrough is accused of having sexual intercourse with a child on multiple occasions and creating digital recordings of the abuse.
Online jail records show Yarbrough was released from the Greene County Detention Center on Aug. 11 after posting a $175,000 bond
