Boil Water Notice Issued for Parts of West Point After Line Break

West Point, Miss. – City officials have issued a precautionary boil water notice for several areas in West Point following a water line break.

The notice is precautionary only and does not mean the water supply is contaminated. However, residents in the affected areas are advised to boil tap water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or giving it to pets until further notice.

The impacted areas include:

  • Humphries Road
  • Waverly Road
  • Waverly Mansion Road

Public works crews are working to repair the line and restore normal water service. Once testing confirms the water is safe, the boil water advisory will be lifted. Updates will be provided by city officials.
