Toppers place eighth at BMCU Spring Classic
West Point, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian University hosted the BMCU Spring Classic Monday and Tuesday at the Old Waverly Golf Course, where the Toppers women’s golf team placed eighth in a competitive 12-team field.
The field featured three programs ranked in the NAIA Top 10 and another ranked inside the Top 25, giving the Toppers an early-season test against nationally recognized opponents. Old Waverly is a well-regarded course that often hosts collegiate and amateur events, and it presented a challenging setting for the two-day tournament.
The finish offers the Toppers experience against high-level competition as they move through the spring schedule. Competing against nationally ranked teams can help coaches evaluate players, identify areas for improvement and prepare the roster for conference and regional events later in the season.
Blue Mountain Christian fields athletic teams known as the Toppers and hosts events that draw programs from across the NAIA landscape. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
