Oxford Police Honor Officers at 2026 Banquet
The Oxford Police Department recognized outstanding officers at the 2026 Oxford Peace Officers Association Banquet, held earlier this year. The event celebrated their dedication, leadership, and service to the community.
In the top photo, Lt. Mark Hodges received the Founders Award for founding the Oxford Peace Officers Association in 2014. Sgt. Mike Burks was named Supervisor of the Year. Keddrick Redmond received the E9 Service Award. La’Erin Burton and La’Tessa Salter were named Dispatchers of the Year, as was Officer Bre Lucas, who was honored as Newcomer of the Year. Seated from left to right, Officer David Misenhelter received the Alan Ivy Community Service Award, Andie Sanford was recognized for Service Recognition, Sgt. Hillary Smith was named R.L. Bob Jones Officer of the Year, and Jekendra Milliner was also honored as Dispatcher of the Year. Not pictured are Sgt. Peter Heim, S.W.A.T. Officer of the Year, and Kristi Carwile, also a Dispatcher of the Year.
This year, the Dispatcher of the Year award was shared among four dispatchers, acknowledging their professionalism and resilience amid staffing changes, new facilities, new technology, and expanded duties.
The second photo shows Officer Ryan Baker receiving the CrimeStoppers Excellence in Service Award.
