Mississippi Department of Public Safety offices closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced that all offices, including Driver Service Bureaus across the state, will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The department, which oversees public safety and licensing services, recognizes the importance of honoring Dr. King’s legacy through this annual holiday.

Many government agencies and offices across Mississippi and the nation observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a day of remembrance and reflection on the civil rights leader’s contributions to social justice and equality.
