Gerry Lane Whitehurst, 74, of Alcorn County, has been charged following an altercation Monday at Alcorn Central Elementary School, according to authorities.
Whitehurst faces charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault on an officer. He is being held at the Alcorn County Jail pending an initial court appearance, officials said.
