Hinds County Sheriff and Jackson Police Chief Celebrate Law Enforcement Day

Jones and Chief Jones praised officers for their courage, resilience, and commitment to public safety. “Your service is more than a profession. It is a calling that demands courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others,” the statement read.
They acknowledged officers often work without recognition and emphasized the importance of their role in making communities safer and stronger. “Thank you for choosing to serve, for showing up when it’s difficult, and for carrying the weight of responsibility with honor,” they added.
The officials encouraged officers to stay steadfast and reminded them they are valued every day, not just on this special occasion.
The message was shared via Facebook and included hashtags such as #NationalLawEnforcementAppreciationDay, #BackTheBlue, and #ServiceAndSacrifice.
