Police Benevolent Association endorses Reeves
The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association endorsed Gov. Tate Reeves in the 2023 Gubernatorial election. The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association is a division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, which represents more than 60,000 law enforcement officers that work at the local, state, and federal levels, and serves as the voice of Law Enforcement in the state.
“Governor Reeves has always been a staunch supporter of the law enforcement community in Mississippi, and we’re proud to endorse him for a second term,” said MSPBA Division President Andy Matuszewski. “From increasing resources and penalties in the war on fentanyl to his work to support law enforcement families, Governor Reeves has proven himself to be a friend of law enforcement.”
“I’m honored to be endorsed by Mississippi’s Police Benevolent Association. While other states have attempted to demonize law enforcement and pushed a radical ‘Defund the Police’ movement, Mississippi has and will always Back the Blue. I look forward to continuing to empower Mississippi’s police and work alongside our law enforcement officers to make Mississippi the safest state in the union,” said Reeves.
